HONEST COW

A beautiful white cow was living in a town. She was honest, loyal, and kind to all other animals in the city. She never teased another animal and always lived with honesty. One day she was browsing in the fields. Suddenly she heard the roaring of the lion. She guessed that the loin was surrounding her. She found no way to escape and decided to surrender. The loin drools when he sees such a healthy and beautiful cow. He was hungry. He finds the perfect lunch for himself. The loin never hesitated to attack the cow.

The cow requested the loin,

Dear Lord, please stop a while, and listen to me very calmly.

She continued, “ I have a newborn son. He is just two weeks old. He even didn’t know the does and don’t of life. My son doesn’t know how to talk, walk, and behave. He is very innocent yet.

I want to teach him the basics of life before I die. Whenever I came out of the home for browsing, he always waited for me to come. If you have mercy upon me for some time, I will go home and teach my son everything. I will feed him for the last time. And then I will turn back to you so that you could eat me.”

Loin laughed, “ What do you htink of mne, am i a a fool? Why would i belie=ve you That you will come back to me knowning that i will eat you. I am the king of the vilklage, and not as fool as you think.”

Cow “ You get me wrong. I am not telling you a lie. I am only worried for my innocent son. I am not gonna deny my promise. I am not afraid of dying. But, I am requesting you only for my cut son, please have a petty over him. He will be waiting for me.”

The cow put all her requests, honestly, in front of the loin.

The loin thinks that how and why I would believe on her.? Why she would come back? The loin said to the cow.

“ As you are requesting too much, I allow you to go home and feed your son. But, be sure to come back well on time. I am waiting here for you. This is the test of your honesty.

Cow: Thank you, Lord. I will always be thankful to you for this kind of act.

The cow then ran to her home and hugged her son tightly. Her son was astonished and didn’t understand this move of her mother. He was looking at her mother’s deep watery eyes with amazement. The cow started,

“ My dear son, please earn a good life, a life that everyone wishes to earn. Treat everyone with love, give love and take love, must be the principke of your life. Never tell a lie and always stay honest to your fellows.”

After a heavy-hearted goodbye to her son, she left for the village forest, where loin was eagerly waiting for her. The loin was never expecting her to come back.

When the cow reaches there, the loin’s jaw remains open because of the unexpected and honest move of the cow.

The loin said to himself, “ Wow, thuis cow is very honest, she come as per aggrement to clinch my hunger, I have never seen anyone like her before.” He continued, “ If i eat this honest cow, it will ne a big loose to our community. She is a bright example of honesty. I can eat something else to satisfy my hunger instead of eating this cow.”

As the cow reached near the lion, he said: “Oh dear cow, how honest you are… you have kept my words worth your life, and come here to satisfy my hunger. God will never pardon me if I kill and eat you. It will be a big loss if i kill you. You, please go to your home back and spend good life with your son. I will manage something else to eat for now.”

Hearing this, the cow went home happily and hugged her son.

MORAL: MOrality and honesty are the most potent weapon for all scrutiny.
